What I like::
- Their compact size, they fit comfortably in your hand or pocket (removable pocket clip included too!)
- The pocket clip can be removed and reversed so that you can clip it to the brim of a ball cap
- I can't speak to the actual wattage, wavelength or lumens of these, but I can say they have MUCH better illumination of UV reactive thigs than others I have tried. In full light the black light may not be perceptable at all, but once it hits a reactive surface/ink/color/rock or stain, it's very visible. Much better in complete darkness of course, but not bad in full light.
- Rechargable - USB-C connection on the flashlight. Included charging cable is USB-A (wide flat) to USB-C. Note that there is no charger included, only the cable.
- The rechargable battery is replaceable if needed - it uses any Li-ion #18650 cell. If you planned on using it a lot, you could have several backup batteries ready for it.
- Charging/charged indicating lights on the power switch/button
- Easy to use sliding zoom feature
- The shape of the body/housing does not allow it to roll on a counter, it stays where you put it!
- The aluminum ring around the light ISN'T one of those aggressive "Tactical" designs, this means it's comfortable to carry in your pocket without getting gouged by sharp edges
- Great value for the price - $21.99 for a 2 pack at the time of writing.
What I don't like:
- A couple of my existing USB-C cables have too large of plastic molding around them and they won't fit into the charging socket of the flashlight, could be a problem if you're planning to charge them away from home and have a limited selection of cables on hand. The cables it came with fit just fine.
- The USB-C socket sits a bit deeper than you'd expect so some of my cables that did fit, wouldn't reach because the USB-C blade didn't protrude farenough to make a connection. A few of my existing cables do work with it, but you'll notice that the included cable tip is just a bit longer than usual.
- The LED chip and lens may not be the highest quality, when you zoom in all the way and are within 12ft of a surface, you can clearly see the lines of the LED chip on the wall as well as a yellow "shadow" around the edges.
- The rubber power switch and the rubber cover for the charging port are essentially the same size and feel on directly opposing sides - if you're trying to turn it on/off without looking at it, you have no idea which button you're pushing
